The Thinkcar Reader Smart Scan 7 is a compact and budget-friendly diagnostic scanner designed for garages, technicians, and DIY users. It offers plug-and-play functionality with a simple interface, making it easy to use without advanced technical knowledge.
This device supports full OBD2/EOBD diagnostics, including reading and clearing fault codes, live data streaming, freeze frame analysis, and I/M readiness testing. It covers most vehicles manufactured after 1996, ensuring broad compatibility across global brands.
The scanner provides multi-system diagnostics (7 major systems) such as Engine, ABS, SRS, Transmission, BCM, Instrument Cluster, and Air Conditioning, making it suitable for routine diagnostics.
It also supports multiple maintenance reset functions (up to 28 options, selectable) including oil reset, ABS bleeding, DPF regeneration, throttle adaptation, and more.
With lifetime free updates, built-in DTC library, and Android-based system, the Smart Scan 7 is a reliable entry-level solution for automotive diagnostics.
